LG G4 SAR rating value official: edges close to legal limits

The LG G4 SAR rating value is official and it is edging dangerously close to legal limits at 1.43W/kg, according to the testing document published by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The LG G4 SAR rating value mentioned above is for simultaneous transmissions (with all connectivity options including Wi-Fi, cellular data, Bluetooth, etc enabled). The legally allowed SAR rating is up to 1.6W/kg.

The FCC also discloses the LG G4 SAR values for use when the phone is placed near the head – that rating is measured at 0.72W/kg, and when the phone is near the body, when the estimated value is 0.72W/kg.

SAR is an abbreviation for Specific Absorption Rate, and it represents the maximum value of a measurement taken multiple times in lab conditions. Specifically, SAR is a measure of the strength of the electric and magnetic fields and power density of transmitters operating at 300KHz to 100GHz frequencies. It is represented in watts per kilogram (W/kg). Learn more about the importance of SAR testing here.

To better protect yourself from high SAR levels use an RF Safe flip Cover Case in conjunction with an RF Safe AirTube Headset which can be further protected by an RF Safe Ferrite Bead. Protect yourself from cancer causing radiation emitted by cell phones with these and other devices.
